COMTECH TELECOMMUNICATIONS CORP. ANNOUNCES PAUL LITHGOW AEROASTRO PRESIDENT

Melville, NY, June 20, 2008 - Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (NASDAQ:CMTL) announced today that Paul Lithgow is appointed President of Comtech AeroAstro Inc. He was previously AeroAstro's Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining AeroAstro, Mr. Lithgow served as the Director of Advanced Concepts at Radyne. He led the Advanced Programs Division at Spectrum Astro until Aug 2004. Mr. Lithgow has over 25 years of management and technical experience and, in addition to Radyne and Spectrum Astro, held senior positions with Aegis Research Corporation and had a wide ranging Air Force career serving in airlift, acquisition and technical intelligence positions.

Dr. Rick Fleeter, Comtech AeroAstro founder and previous President will continue to support the company in a senior advisory role. He also will focus on developing and furthering relationships between Comtech AeroAstro and the domestic and international space exploration, science and academic communities.
