The appointment was approved at AeroAstro's quarterly board
meeting in Palo Alto, California.
Ladwig is currently Assistant to the Chairman and Director

are excited about the addition of Alan to our team, to help
us implement our vision of a true space revolution driven
by micro and nanosatellites. His impressive experience and
skills will enable AeroAstro to expand both the traditional
and the commercial space frontier with our unique mix of capable
technologies and affordable applications."
From
1991 to 1993, Ladwig was Senior Policy Analyst for Science
Applications International Corporation (SAIC). During the
1980's, Ladwig held a variety of positions at NASA Headquarters,
including Director of Special Projects for the Office of Exploration

"I
look forward to the opportunity to help expand awareness of
AeroAstro's unique capabilities for research, exploration,
and development. As a company that has been on the cutting
edge of the faster-better-cheaper revolution, AeroAstro is
paving the way for missions that feature immediacy and relevance,"
said Ladwig.
AeroAstro,
a pioneer of micro- and nano-spacecraft applications in science,
remote sensing, and communications, is a leader in innovative
small satellite applications that open the space frontier.
It led the trend towards "smaller, better, cheaper, faster"
spacecraft - that is now NASA's mantra - with its highly successful
ALEXIS satellite begun in 1988 and currently in its seventh
year operating on-orbit.
AeroAstro
is now leading the way to a new age of commercial space with
flexible tools that enable new users to benefit from unprecedented
access to space technology. AeroAstro has designed, constructed,
tested and supported the launch of several small satellites.
It completed numerous spacecraft systems programs and manufactures
low-cost small rocket engines, nano-satellites and spacecraft
components. NASA, the Air Force, and commercial and university
customers have all employed AeroAstro throughout its 11-year
history.
