Senior Spacecraft Systems Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Spacecraft Systems Engineer.

Specific Job Description: The Senior Spacecraft Systems Engineer candidate will be responsible for systems trades related to the Spacecraft bus design. Candidate will work with the instrument providers defining interfaces; perform requirements decomposition of the customer requirements; implementation of the design; support the delivery of subcontracted components and their integration; and support performance testing of the bus and associate anomaly resolution.

Senior Spacecraft Systems Engineer Requirements:

·   U.S. citizenship required.

·   Must be eligible to obtain a Government security clearance.

·    MS/BS in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or related field.

·    5 plus years of spacecraft development programs, preferably in a lead systems engineering role.

·    Requirements Analysis and definition of space systems.

·    Experience in I&T spacecraft and spacecraft operations.

·    Experience in Failure Mode analysis, probabilistic risk assessment and reliability engineering.

·    Risk Assessment and previous management experience.

·    Experience using EVMS tools.

·    Familiar with state-of-the-art space plug-n-play (PnP) approaches.

·    Design verification experience is required.

·    Design team leadership/management is a plus.

·    Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

·    Broad technical background with direct experience in manufacture and/or integration of spacecraft systems.

·    Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Requirements Management Tools and Program Scheduling Tools.

·    Experience with writing policies and procedures for spacecraft satellites.

·    Excellent written and communication skills.

·    Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.

·    TS clearance with SSBI desirable.
