AeroAstro offers the MicroCore Avionics Module. This highly integrated module include bus components and functions common to all microsatellites: power regulation and distribution, and command and data handling. To form a complete bus, a Core Avionics Module can easily be integrated with mission-specific off-the-shelf and custom components, such as attitude actuators, attitude sensors, radios, solar arrays, batteries, and major structural components. This approach to satellite development results in the best value and highest performance for the customer. Each Core Avionics Module can easily be configured for mission-specific applications and interfaces by reprogramming its gate arrays.

MicroCore

AeroAstro's MicroCore Avionics Module serves the needs of small satellite users by providing a compact, high-integrated, reliable core for advanced microsatellite missions. The MicroCore Avionics Module is intended for use in the most demanding and high-performance microsatellite applications.

The MicroCore Avionics Module includes the following VME cards: Power Control, Power Switching, Data I/O, and Power PC 750 Computer. Extra copies of these cards may be added for redundancy or increased performance. The standard VME interface also makes it easy to add entirely new cards, such as a Mass Memory. Flight software, including the very cost-effective and robust MicroC-OS operating system is also available, as is a variety of ground support software electronics.

AeroAstro's MicroCore Avionics Module will be flight validated on STPSat-1, a spacecraft being developed by AeroAstro for the DoD Space Test Program, scheduled for launch in 2006. MicroCore has also been baselined for use on several other development programs.
