To accommodate our steady growth over recent years, AeroAstro opened a new, custom-designed corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility in Ashburn, Virginia, approximately five miles north of Dulles Airport. AeroAstro also maintains engineering design and business offices in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Littleton, CO. AeroAstro’s state-of-the-art Ashburn headquarters encompasses 24,000 square feet of offices, laboratories, clean rooms, shop and storage space. This secure facility incorporates approved electronic surveillance and access control systems, and includes three class 10,000 clean rooms for assembly and integration of sensitive hardware. Furthermore, specialized workspace and access controls are in place for international visitors and engineers in full compliance with ITAR regulations.

Two additional laboratory spaces suit the requirements of a range of hardware programs, which support both electronics and mechanical fabrication. The electronics shop contains test benches, diagnostic tools, and specialty RF design and test equipment, as well as a Mil-Spec 2000 soldering and inspection station. The Ashburn facility accommodates multiple simultaneous programs, affording each the necessary support and privacy that may be demanded.

The office holds approximately 100 engineering workstations, a range of meeting rooms, and a large training/design review conference room.  Space is set aside for optical instrumentation development and calibration. A standard loading dock with overhead door and high ceilings throughout the facility enable integration, packing and shipment of large hardware items without disassembly.
